In the story, a little house elf lives unnoticed with a family and, after tasting the family's dessert of blueberry pie, he longs for more. He does everything he can think of to tell the people he wants more blueberry pie, but to no avail. One evening, quite by accident, the elf's presence is discovered and his wish comes true.
