The kit includes an illustrated instruction and pattern booklet, 100% cotton fabrics, Timtex stiff interfacing, Wonder Under fusible web and other materials to create a vine-covered, eggplant purple house with beige flowered roof (as seen in photo at left). Embellishments included are decorative buttons, curtain material and "hardware," and hammock. The only supplies you'll need to provide are a zigzag sewing machine, iron for fusing fabrics, hand sewing needle, thread and glue! (Dolls and furniture sold separately.)

Special Features
The house opens up to make imaginative play more fun! The brilliant design includes a loft and attic -- very spacious! When privacy is needed, the front door curtains can be released from their tie backs and closed. Finished house measures 12" tall x 7 1/2" wide. Included are the instructions and materials (in kit) for creating a hammock that can be hung outdoors in the garden or inside as a bed! The completed Fairy Cottage is recommended for ages 3+.

Construction
This Fairy Cottage is made from high quality materials. It is not quilted, but has firm walls to make it quite durable. It is made from a revolutionary new ultra-stiff interfacing that is quite sturdy, but very easy to sew! (Read more about this interfacing below.*) This project is suitable for all skill levels. Although it isn't recommended as a first project, even those with basic sewing experience can handle it. A zigzag sewing machine is required for completion of this project.

*Note about Interfacing used in kit: We include Timtex™ or Peltex™ ultra-stiff interfacing in our complete kit. You can sew through it easily, it is machine washable, dryable and is highly durable for a child’s toy. This is a new product and may be difficult to find in your local fabric store. For that reason, we are offering the modified kit below that includes enough Timtex™ or Peltex™ for one Fairy Cottage with a Pattern & Instruction Booklet for those wishing to use their own fabrics and other supplies.
