This sweet 6½” Waldorf-style doll is easy to sew and is a satisfying project for the beginner to experienced dollmaker. All materials (except needle, thread & glue) are included in the kit, plus a fully illustrated, step-by-step instruction booklet with full size patterns. Her arms and legs are posable, making it possible for her to sit, stand (with support) or hold onto things. Her hair is 100% wool roving and comes in the color of your choice. Creating a doll on a pedestal is an interesting technique that can be useful in many other Waldorf dollmaking applications! This beautiful 11" doll is created on a weighted, wooden doll stand, which is eventually covered by a muslin petticoat. The illustrated instructional booklet has color photos, diagrams and full-size patterns. This project requires a basic knowledge of sewing and a moderate dollmaking skill level. Keep an accurate count of fairy sightings (or their evidence) on a nature walk or the number of Tooth Fairy visits using either of these attractive and clever counting charms! Nylon craft wings are increasing difficult to find in very small sizes, so how about making your own? These round wings are very easy to mold into whatever shape you desire. Glue two together, wrap the wires around the joint a couple of times, trim the wire and…viola! You have a perfect pair of wings to glue to your own angel or fairy doll. Each finished pair of wings measures approximately 1½” high with a wingspan of about 3” wide. The wings can be left plain white or decorate with your own artist chalks, paints or glitter glue. Each kit contains 12 round, wire and nylon wings and makes six pairs when completed. (Finished wings pictured are not included.)
