Skill Level: No sewing required! This house is constructed using the needle felting technique (dry felting). It can be completed in about 4-6 hours, depending on your experience level. It is a very easy project and quite suitable for felters of all levels, Beginner to Advanced. The completed Mushroom Fairy House is recommended for ages 4 and older.
One rainy day, a fairy was in need of a dry shelter to wait out the storm. She found it in the hollow stem of a red & yellow polka-dot toadstool. The space was cozy, warm and delighted her so much she decided to stay -- and that's where you'll find her living happily to this very day!
Included in the complete kit are 100% wool fleece in three colors, Timtex or Peltex stiff interfacing, one all-purpose felting needle and other materials to complete one Mushroom House. Also included is a pattern with step-by-step instructions which features color photos, excellent diagrams and full-size patterns. (Also, our "Needle Felting Basics" instruction sheet is included for beginners.) Finished House measures 5” diameter at base by 10½” tall.
Simple construction consists of needle felting 100% wool fleece directly onto a stiff interfacing. The unique characteristic of the ultra-stiff interfacing results in a durable house for your tiny dolls.
